Hey, I consider Hippy Dippy to be a compliment! And I dunno where Steve’s kids go, but I’d bet the farm Matt and Jess are picking Bloom.

You know, I don’t remember Audubon being hard-core either. And part of me wonders if it still isn’t–if they are somehow either reacting to a perceived break-down in other schools or taking a stance designed to appeal to a certain market segment. It doesn’t seem totally coincidental that two people I know who had their hopes pinned on Audubon had parochial school as the back-up plan. Regardless, it strikes me that if they are marketing to folks whose philosophy is different from mine, we might not fit in as a family very well. Also, if staff is always yelling at kids, Simon will be shell shocked regardless of whether he’s the target. And yeah, Mom, you are A LOT more hippy-dippy now than you were at 36 or 37!

I’ll leave it to Jessica to answer the question of where Steve’s kids go to school, but just let me say that when Jessica went to Audubon Traditional for grades 1-3, all I remember is emphasis on the three R’s.
I don’t really remember stress on all this patriotism and morality stuff. It’s been so many years (yes, Jessica, it has) maybe I just don’t remember and frankly I’m a lot more hippy-dippy myself than I was when Jessica was 6.
