What did you hate about it? I’m no longer into (bad) fantasy, having moved into (bad) mysteries, but most people I know have loved the series. Then again, I think they were all guys. Try reading Simon “the Pluto Files” by my Secret Boyfriend(TM) Neil DeGrasse Tyson, or “How I killed Pluto and why it had it coming” by Mike Brown. Not up to his 500 pages, but interesting and amusing.
